Hey guys,

As part of a lot i bought recently, i purchased 3 DD40s from Athearn BB. One of these was a unit painted in CNW colors. It does not appear to be custom painted, as the colors and paint look consistent with other locomotives ive owned from the same time period. Ive never heard of another one of these locomotives. Perhaps im not looking hard enough but are these a bit of a rare model? I offered it for sale earlier are at a rather high price because i didnt really want to sell it, and someone jumped on it, no questions asked. I opted not to sell it but would like to know what the scoop is with this locomotive. Ive seen B&O, Pennsylvania, UP, SP, and CBQ, but i cant remember ever seeing a CNW unit.

Help would be greatly appreciated :D

Thanks !

A picture is worth a thousand words. I believe it will end up being a custom paint job. Never came across a CNW DD40 before.
