Athearn AC4400 UP limited edition Powder River 2001 Safety Award

Just acquired this UP locomotive and three other cars, all Powder River 2001 Safety Award given only to employees from what I know. Any info on such limited edition issues such as this? Found it to be an interesting wrinkle in the product line.
 
They're generally one-off products, with very few made. The engines and cars are standard run, with special lettering or paint denoting the circumstances of the award. While unusual from the perspective of model railroading as a whole, they're not something people will fight over if they see one. They're usually only "valuable" to the person that received them, and then only if the recipient also happens to be a model railroader.
