Anyone headed to Springfield, MA this weekend?

Been there once, several years ago.
No desire to go again. Predominantly, old used Lionel and Tyco train stuff that the sellers presume are worth thousands $$$$$. The stench of musty cardboard boxes fills the air. Their first sense of a failing adventure is when they see every third seller with the exact same box of stuff.

I've been twice before. So far I seem to be on an every-other-year schedule. Two years ago, made a nice weekend trip out of it with my wife. :D It will be a solo run on Saturday if I go.

I first went when I was four years old. I have only missed half a dozen shows or about that since then. It’s become a tradition each year:)

There and back again. Saturday morning was CROWDED... Holy Crap! I had planned to stay the whole day and I was glad that I did. By mid-to-late afternoon the crowd sizes were much more manageable. After 8 hours of driving and 6 walking around, I was certainly tired at the end of the day.
Some great layouts on display. I wish I had done a weekend trip so I had more time to look them over, but here a few highlights of my trip:

I like how the canyon disappears behind itself.

Love the street running.

Trains run behind the foliage. Really nice (in my opinion) touch.

Actually visited Hershey Park this last summer. I took this shot mostly for my kids. ;)

Fully lit and automated circus.

These were just awesome.

Just found this funny. :D

And a great way to end a scene.

At the end of the day, this is the pile that followed me home:

Cork roadbed in the box on the left and backdrops in the tube on the right.
