Any 60'-70' Passenger Cars; anything?

Due to two 13" radius 180 degree curves, my full length passenger cars are a problem. They make the curve, but look terrible.

After a brief search, I see Arnold, Bachman, ConCor, Kato & Minitrix had some, but most seem too 'toy like' which I kinds expected from most of these names except maybe ConCor & Kato.

Anyone know of anything else? I'm modeling the 70's in the NE.

Here are a couple of Con-Cor 72" passenger cars I picked up. The details are excellent and the also have interior lighting. I can't say if the can make a 13 inch radius though as my minimum radius is 32 inches with most curves much broader, but I suspect that they could make it through a tight radius curve.

The main reason I picked them up is because they are decorated for the Northern Pacific and work perfectly for local passenger service on my railroad.

Sorry about that. Didn't realize he was looking for N scale. These cars are not available in N scale. They should be.

I found a good variety of the shorter passenger cars, good detail even, at train shows.

Not too many train shows this time of year, they pick up in a few months. There is the Wheaton shows, in the Chicago area. it's a great/big show that runs every month (I think) even during the summer.

Here is a link here you can find train shows near you;

I checked it, but did not find the Wheaton show listed, not sure why? (seems out of date???)
They also list model RR clubs as well.

Another option for used is http://www.nscalesupply.com/pon/Preowned.aspx

There is always eBay. At train shows and eBay I try to get them in sets, usually cheaper in the end that way. There is a guy in my area that always has collections/sets of 4 to 6 matching pass cars.

One question though, you say your full length trains make the curve (13") BUT look terrible. Do you mean the cars themselves, the model looks terrible due to poor detail etc OR, they look bad because the radius is too tight for a realistic look when negotiating the curve?

If it is the first, the quality of model isn't that great then take a look at Klein's (http://www.modeltrainstuff.com/N-Scale-Passenger-Cars-s/1468.htm) they have a good range at very good prices and great service. They will also give you an honest (unbiased) opinion of their thoughts regarding quality of a product.

The two brands I gravitate to are Kato and Micro Trains although I agree Con Cor seem to produce some good looking cars as well.
