first off a big thank you to the community...you guys have been so helpful with some of my questions!
I am originally from the large scale community but a move from the US to Germany changed all that.
SPACE the ever lasting Modellers restriction.....
So, I was forced to change Scale on big scale. I love ming layouts and rolling stock , it gives such a varitey of creations. especially since a lot of the equipment is shop buit or modified to the needs of the Mine or RR attached. To have this option I started in HOn30...HOe...
The limited availability of engines in Europe got me to choosing a layout based in the american south West...located at the Mexican border...thus being able to use US and European style prototypes and modify them to my needs.
My latest is the conversion of N Scale engines to HOn30....so much fun !
I got the idea from an old article in Model railroader, a guy converted a N Scale Trix switcher to an HOn30 Diesel...and the insanity was born.....
so i am looking forward to sharing my progress with all of you.
