Amtrak Amfleet I Phase V Cars

After much searching, I located a few places online who had the AMFLEET in Phase 5 in stock. The Cafe cars were hard to find...sold out everywhere!

I wanted four 5 car train sets so I ordered 2 cafe cars (#13117) and 18 coach cars (#13116).

I recently got 3 phase V #13116s from wholesaletrains.com. Theyve been on backorder since august 2009, but finally came in. a saleswoman named barbara at Bachmann emailed me saying that theyve been back in stock in their warehouse since early March. I got a cafe from standardhobby.com about a year ago.

They also have the Amfleet Acela cars which look like re conditioned phase V.

This place shows 5 cafe cars in stock. I stop by there now and then and they usually have some.
They also have the Amfleet Acela cars which look like re conditioned phase V.

Bachmann calls it Phase V. The correct term is Phase IVb. Phase V is the Acela/Lavalamp scheme that Bachmann calls Acela.
