American Models new Steam engine


It's nice to see a Santa Fe design chosen for a big steamer. Usually an Eastern road is selected.

And, the price is about $100 cheaper than I anticipated! I may actually be able to get one of these.
 
I broke down and bought one of these beasts. At six pounds for the whole locomotive and tender I think beast fits it. :D Detailing looks darn nice but I haven't taken it out of the box yet. The gentleman who sold it to me ran one at a show and was pleased with it. AM surprised a lot of people with it and I hope they continue to bring out nice steam engines in the future.
