Went to Radio Shack this morning for some wire and connectors to wire up the track and found these. They are called Quick-Splice Connectors,#64-037. Probably not as good as Posi's but for 1.99$ for a set of three I thought I'd give em a try. The one's I got are for 22 to 18 gauge wire. Might make things a little easier.

Paul, I've never seen those before but I'll check them out when I'm at Radio Shack. From the description at the RS web site, it still looks like you have to do about the same amount of crimping as using a suitcase connector.

Yes, that's true. The one piece is basically a suitcase connector, but still looks easy for doing a t type connection.

Paul, certainly easier than a straight suitcase connector but you also have to crimp the male plug to the drop wire from the layout. I looked at them this evening when I was at RS for another errand and I wasn't impressed with the strength of the male to female connection either. At $2.00 for three, they are not a lot cheaper than getting a Posi-Tap for about 80 cents, including shipping. Since we have an outrageous 9% sales tax here, the price is actually a little higher. I think Posi-Taps are still a lot easier to use for near the same price.
