It was in Sharon Springs, Kansas in May of 2006. A wheel bearing went bad and allowed the truck support to drag along the rail, creating molten metal that dropped along the ties and created smoke. The crew noticed the smkoe about thalf way back and stopped the train. Unfortunately, the car with the white hot truck frame dropped more molten metal on the ties on the trestle. The coal hoppers were loaded so there was no way for a rural fire department to put out the fire. The trestle was destroyed and the local FD's prevented the flames from spreading to the dry grass. Here's a broader view of the incident.
