Welcome back to Jack on Tracks and another episode of The Back Shop! In this video, we’re diving into a special HO scale flatcar build using the Tichy Train Group GSC 53’6” flatcar kits (#1000), pre-painted in the Reading Railroad and Pennsylvania Railroad schemes.

We're not just doing one build—we're building THREE kits at once while customizing with Berkshire Valley Models laser-cut wood decks, metal wheels, and extra detailing including 3D printed EMD prime movers and fine grab irons.

Why is this build special? Watch until the end to find out!

Welcome back to Jack on Tracks! In this episode, we finish up the Reading and Pennsylvania flat cars with light weathering, chain-down techniques, and the installation of a custom 3D printed Prime Mover load. I also go over some of the challenges with brittle stirrups and how I replaced them using Details West parts.

🎨 We dive into weathering techniques using Vallejo washes for realistic results. Learn tips for working with fragile model parts, adding fine details like nut/bolt/washer castings, and creating realistic tie-downs with chain and turnbuckles

In my opinion, these should also be in the "Railroad videos" section. This place is more peer to peer, individual shares.
