It looks so real like Michael is saying! The structure, your rock work/boulders and even the poster boards are fantastic!

Nice looking scene Dave . It appears in the original photo that there are some other buildings, is the plan to recreate the entire thing?
Thanks, guys!
Only room for one more structure in that town, haven't decided what yet

I was able to complete my concrete mixer, 1910 model. It goes fine with my layout, which is 1900-1940:
Here is what the pieces look like in the assembly process:
Here it is on the layout a week later:
this is the other side, the big scoop is where the ingredients can be added "easily"
I will be building a shed with office/living quarters for the construction company at this location, that is my new plan...
Thanks for looking!! Dave
You have a terrific gift of making the scene look so real

I made it out to the trainshed and ran some trains, here are some scenes running into the town of Groningen from the north, some time in the 1920's:
As we get closer it is a farmer leaving the depot:
And a lot of activity right at the depot as well:
Further down the line, here is a scene at the Sandstone quarry:
Seems like there is always something to do on the layout.

I added another building, this is a workshop with office/quarters attached:
Started out with a couple cereal boxes and some Northeastern Scale Lumber sheet siding
Used windows and door from Tichy
Probably add a sign.
I also assembled the truck and got it on the layout: (The green Ford)
Also got this photo of the train going by the feed mill. That is the Sunrise River trestle:
I see someone knocked over the switch stand!
THANKS for looking!

I think you are talking about the shepard, he is one of those Germans, could be up to some mischief...
I should know I married one
Proudly modeling the CM, MT & SL in HO Scale
Great scenes and buildings! Hard to believe that workshop/office started life as a serial box.

Surprise project completed in only a few hours, this skirt really dressed up the layout!
18 dollars (for 100') at Menards is a lot of bang for my buck:
This is the Sandstone quarry end
I tried getting a wider view,
in the background is a little jig I made to hold the camera when I am making videos.
