4 Busy Days and a Victory

I can't show much progress on the Garden RR FAQ, but I haven't been entirely idle this week.

The Husband raises ferns, cycads, and other tropical plants. About 20 years ago we threw together a "temporary" frame to support shade cloth. The frame was about to collapse and take with it all the plants that hung from its rafters.

#1 shows the condition of one of the uprights. No, the wood wasn't painted green --- it's discolored by the constant moisture.

#2 is the view through the arbor, looking south, before demolition

#3 shows the new framing with shade cloth back in place.

continued in next post...

Here's the rest...

#4 and 5 show the south wall. That's Spanish Moss that's grown over the years in #4. We donated about two bushels to our local Botanical Garden this week. I hope they make a few bucks on it. We kept some to hang on the new lattice.

#6 & 7 show the planting table, before and after. If The Husband gets the new one muddy before I do, he'll be in BIG trouble!

---------------

And now, just a word about the victory. I'm "on the road again." Haven't been able to get out much on my own for almost a year. Having lots of fun at the hobby shops and hardware store. :D
