Not on time, but going to dispatch it anyway! The 2009 Holiday Extra is ready to run the line and showcase your best photo from the last decade! That's right! Show us your best model railroading photo from anytime during the last 10 years.

Hey there, Old 97! How long will this one be open for posting photos?

It probably should be mentioned that there is another photo contest going on this month as well (just buried under this one on the front page here......).

If the photo is already entered into the photo gallery is there a way to cross-link it, or does it really have to be uploaded a second time?

A Mod. can move it to a specific gallery or it can be uploaded a second time.
Either way, it must be in the photo contest gallery to be considered an entry.
 
Hey, looking for useful improvements rather than just complaining:

If you enter Modelrailroadforums via the home page, you get a list of headings down the left hand side, i.e.

Discussion Forum

Photo Contests
User Preferences
FAQ
Register

If you click on "Photo Contests" what you get is:
"The requested URL /2005_photo_contest_winners.htm was not found on this server."

Obviously it hasn't been updated in years (2005!) How about making that link go to a page showing the last few contest themes and winners, with more links to any contests that are currently active? I think it would encourage people to view the entries and join in the contests, not to mention making it clear what's happening at the moment.
