1/87th Vehicles

Nothing from Reel Rides yet, it was supposed to be in stores by the 30th of Nov last I heard, but I've not seen an "In stores now" email.

I'm waiting for them and the new Malibu trucks.
 
Woho, I got some of the 2nd color Hot Wheels cars. And one store around here finally has the Malibu trucks.
 
Man these new Reel Rides are taking FOREVER to come out. I want a Delorean, and a mini cooper...
 
ok, i finally got to walmart and got to take a quick look for the 1/87 vehicles. not much variety. i picked up a couple of SUVs, but mostly all they had was porches, BMWs and t-birds by malibu international. maybe ill work a little luxuary car dealership into my layout. however, you cant beat the price . i can throw a couple in the shoping cart on every visit. next time i'll go at it alone so i can spend more time on a more thorough search. some construction vehicles and earth moving equipment would be nice. ill check out target next.

I hafta get the Smokey and the Bandit one and do up the rig from the movie... maybe even get a wee Jackie Gleason done up to boot!

According to another forum and ebay the 2nd Reel Rides releases are out in Michigan, at least the Mini Coopers and the 81 Caddi from Casino.:)
 
Stopped by my local Walmart Super Store to see if they had anything new. They usually carry the Reel Rides in 1/64 and 1/87. Most of the shelves were nearly empty as they are redoing their entire diecast inventory. Had labels where each would go. Looks like they're giving up on the 1/87 Reel Rides as they no longer have a reserved spot. BUMMER. Looks like I'm gonna have to resort to Ebay. DOUBLE BUMMER

I've been in a bunch of WM's around my area this past week & they have been selling all of their overstock of 1/87th vehicles at 2 for a dollar, yet, at the store in my town they are loaded up w/vehicles & they are still at regular price. I wish some of you-all lived close to me that needed those vehicles. I asked the toy dept. mgr. if they were going to cut the prices & she said, "no", but she was hoping because she had at least 10 cases of every vehicle except semi cabs in the backroom. Maybe some of you could contact your WM stores & ask if they could "MTR" from my store to yours.
The store #0811 is in Arcadia, Fl.

when i first discovered this thread, the WM by me had a bunch of cars for 1.00. i only got a few thinking i would come back alone and buy them out. went back yesterday and they were all gone (the 1.00 ones) they still have a good amount of malibu intn'l but those are 2.00. problem is i have all of those now. all that is left is the porches which they have by the pound. found some construction vehicles though. like someone pointed out i wish they made more regular, recent model vehicles i.e. regular cars. Hondas, toyotas, chevys and the like. a couple of white suburbans or ford explorers would be nice too for worker transport. ive done a lot of railfaning and i never saw a crew change come through in a champagne porche SUV.
