1/87th Vehicles

Pa3de8,

The Mercury Bobcat was one of the cars that is supposed to be in the second set!!! If you got one, that means they're OUT!!!!!! There should be about four different cars in that set, just like the first run. Can't remember what the 3 other cars should be, but I THINK a mid to late 70's Mustang 2 was one of them!!!! I'll be checking my local Wal-Mart daily now!!!!

As far as I know, reading what I saw in the March issue of the Model Railroad News, by the time that issue came out the Tempo and the Bobcat were to be added to what's already out. Nothing about any other cars.

Ricko Die Cast

Ricko has some nice vehicles offered as well. I was checking out the site for truckstopmodels and they do have some sharp looking vehicles. Anyone have any of these and if you do, how is the detail?

Scott

I don't know if anyone else mentioned it and I know I left it out because I never finished the article but the new series of the Fresh Cherries vehicles will include:

1970's Chevy Vega
1971 Ford Mustang Sports Roof
1974 Ford Maverick
1975 Honda CVCC

I was looking at a Ricko Cadillac Escalade ESV a few days back, VERY nice, but I didn't want to shell $15 for it.

I thought a few of you would like to see what I'm up to.

Here are a few Escorts in new colors. I've been researching paint on the '81-84 era and I've matched up a few colors.

Here is what I have for now, the low light doesn't bring the metalic paint out very well, but trust me... they are perfect or else I would have trashed them.

This week I'll finish up the paint and trim and then give them a deep gloss finish.

Rims and hubcaps will be custom made along with some new windows.

I'll add a dealer invoice in the window and they will be ready to load and ship off! :D

The colors not shown are the stock white and dark blue cars from motor max.

I have 36 Escorts total.

I'll be doing a fleet of Tempos in the next car, with a few more Escorts mixed in.

I had a sucessful trip to Wal-Mart tonight!!! I picked up 4 cars. 2 are Fresh Cherries, 2 are NEW Malibu International.

the Fresh cherries are a black Ford Tempo, and a red Mercury Bobcat.

The Malibu's were the best of the 4. one is a 1937 VW 30. (an EARLY Beetle!!!), and the other is a 1953 Pink Cadillac Eldorado. These two are nice!!! BTW, the VW is red.

Will be going back later this week to see if they put any more out!!! Kenosha Wal-Mart ROCKS!!!!

Well, in the past 3 days have hit 7 different WM's & all I have found is 3 empty boxes in each store for the fresh cherries. The boxes were yellow.
I'm going to post some of my 1/87th vehicles that I use on my layout.
The garbage truck photo was blurred, so, that 1 won't be in the list.

Larry,

On your pic of the busses, who makes the 4 busses on the right side, farthest from the track?? Those look NICE!!!! I like the 3 city busses and the long haul bus!!!!

I went to Wal-Mart today to see if anything new. I walked out with two more REEL RIDES Trans Ams, and a FRESH CHERRIES Ford Tempo (red). I am now up to 6 Trans Ams!!! One more, and I can fill an auto transport truck!!!

Some more semi's. I bunched all of these trucks up to keep the size of the photo small.

Rock, I bought those long buses a long time ago from KB Toys here in south Fla. & paid a buck a pc. for them. The Greyhound bus came from the same place just a few years ago & I paid $3.00 for that one.

Larry

All of the cars & trucks that are bunched up are only the older vehicles & hot rods. I didn't take any photo's of the other 150 or so newer cars & sm. trucks.
I also have about 50 Phatt cars that I use on my layout in Phatt City.

I stopped by my local Wal-Mart again today. They had just put out a new box of REEL RIDES (first series), and a new box of Malibu Int's.

The only thing I scored on was my 7th and FINAL Trans Am!!!

Nothing else new.

I've been noticing that Fresh Cherries has been putting out new, almost S scale cars. They are about twice the size of Matchbox and Hot Wheels cars. One of the cars is a mid-70's AMC Matador, and the other is an early to mid-70's AMC Hornet. Does ANYONE know if they will do these in H.O. scale or not?? I'd LOVE to see them done!!!

What happened to this thread lately??? Seems like its dying.

Here's a few mining trucks that I bought about 2 years ago in 1/87th from a Big Lots store. Only paid $1.99 for one & $2.99 for the other. One is plastic & the other is metal.
The 3rd picture is my guard dog.

Rock4329,
What do you mean" this thread is dying"?
After 398 answers & questions & 18,026 people looking as of 5-22-07 it might be time for it to slow down. You can just post so many pictures of the same thing over & over & sooner or later you run out of things to say. Am I right or wrong? Just kidding-It will last forever as long as WM has vehicles to sell or one of us finds a better & cheaper outlet.
