1/87th Vehicles


That is a pretty nice model, just too new... It 'would' work but would really rather have one that matches my model (im looking to model my p/u and a special trailer i have to go along with the diner kit that you and I have)

I rember some years ago, seeing the correct model F250/350 in the walthers book.. but no look with my 07 or 08 ... gotta get a 09..
 
Many of these are leftovers from my nephew's old HO transition era layout that I gave him for Christmas some years ago, trains, vehicles, structures and all. When it was torn down several years later he returned many of the items which have been used in trades or given away to others who could make use of them. These are being traded for several freight cars.

At one time, Micro-machines had a slightly undersized Delorean, complete with a "flux capacitor"!:D
I still see them at train shows from time to time, usually loose (not packaged) with a little bit of play wear, nothing a little paint can't fix!
 
I've been buying cars @ wal-mart for 2 yrs. They have a few different brands including "fresh cherries" and 1/87 movie cars. Also have multi-car sets. I bought 2 CASE tractors last week. And they are (at least here) on the hot wheels isle.

I am lost here, but I'll try again. I have several HO scale cars bought at wallyworld in the last year or two. Last week I got two CAT tractors. They are with the hot wheels here. They also carry "fresh cherries" and multi car sets(which are the best deal), that helps me to buy cars i don't like so that I keep diversity.
 
The Wal-Mart in Leesville doesn't sell anything in 1/87 with the exception of the Nascar miniatures, none of which I want. However, the Wal-Mart in the next town, Deridder, is selling the 1/87 'Rell Rides' as well as the 1/87 Hot Wheels and the 1/87 Cat equipment. Both stores have dropped the 1/87 'Fresh Cherries' and Malibu lines. I have to go to Alexandria (120 mile round trip) and dig around at Hobby Lobby to find them there.
 
I have been going through some of my vehicle collection and thinning out but I still have many more vehicles for the time I build a layout, LOL.

Holy Cow! I've showed my wife your guy's vehicle collections and she now thinks I'm sane. :) Those are two really nice collections.

And I thought I was bad having 25 of the '55 Chevys and a dozen Corvettes.:eek:

WOW, I thought I was bad w/155 semi's, 250 cars & 100 trucks. Plus I have a HotWheels collection of 800 vehicles, not many HO scale in HW's though. Forgot, the 150 pieces of heavy equipment.
I think you have more money tied up in vehicles than in my whole trainlayout plus all my vehicles. Those HO trucks aren't cheap.

i can see it now:

trash always gets picked up.
fires get put out before they even start
emergency vehicles will be to the rescue, post haste.
all deliveries will be made on time
buildings will be built in less than a week
there will always be a traffic jam

your layout is going to be a dream city - can I move there? more than enough U-Hauls to go around.

i just hope gas stays the price it is.

thats a killer collection.
