I don’t know what a Gauge 1 locomotive is. This model is a 1/35 scale kit.

That's close enough. Gauge 1 is 1/32 scale.

Scale 1:35 is one of common "Military gauges", kind of like 1:72. Too bad because it would be fun to put together and have a 1:32 scale "Kriegslokomotive".

1:35-"Military gauge". 0 gauge varies in different countries. In the US 1:48 is generally used. Great Britain uses 1:43,5, while mainland Europe mostly has 1:45 standardized.
