These white metal models are. Morris Dancers, Googling them will bring up loads of bell ringing and musicians with dancers and stick bashing lol

I went two colour versions for the opponents, I wonder if the horses head was an early days mafia mob connection …grins
they often have handkerchiefs and I added some white paper squares

and whilst at it added sone flowers to the hats another popular feature

My aim is to always fool you, if only for a second, to this end I use the best models I can,and if I know certain models will help the scene but scream model I place them, to hide any elements scream out, hiding base stands, or placing far enough backwards or forwards against the focus point to blur them, so they can be mistaken, I turn faces to the side or away if really bad, these sheep benefit, as does the pilot

at this distance the base on top of the ballast is not too obvious

DBA3C6F5-CFDD-4394-8BC7-A116B2C521F7.jpeg

closer the painting detail is more focused showing all the paint details so screams model, the base at least is hidden in the ballast

a back view, with a red arrow, shame the base is screaming

I do not like photoshopping but I bit the bullet and did it here to see if it improved the photo, the model is still to close though and my paint work clearly shows up the lack of fine detail
D5E4243E-EE53-428D-A1EA-52DC1C39BBD3.jpeg

this one slightly further back, again photoshopped to remove the figure base, but now the detail is less obvious, the vehicles were placed to hide the fact the red arrow jet is on a base as well. I should fine tune the Red Cross on the ⛑ helmet, yes white on red not red on white :D

edit= I think the white note pad squares need lifting, ithink I have placed them on the knees not the thighs. When I have the paint to hand this will be an easy fix.

Jaz- you do such a great job of modeling and creating scenes that I am constantly amazed at your pictures.
Keep up the good work!

Rust, continued, rust all depends on the metal, and how it oxidises,

a Hornb statue, I felt it needed an upgrade

in general I like aging items and usually trial ideas on cheap items like vehicles so as to not mess up a costly item

once happy with how to colour I will then expand to other items

and then progressing to costlier items

I did not go whole hog here, but had tested the colours on the VE and the drums so was comfortable colouring the building.
