This is my first try to weathered in HO scale.
I use artist colors (oils), dry pastel's and Model paints.

This is another oldie, but goodie. I "re-patched" this one, as Bowser had lettered it for CSXT, but did not leave a "patch". I have not sold this one.
This is a Walthers 86\' Hi-Cube CSX/CR/NYC Auto Parts Boxcar. I have not completed the weathering. It came factory-patched "NYC". I do not plan on selling it.
This was my fourth car, but it looks like my negative 35th. I detailed her with new stirrups, coupler lift bars, and air hoses. Sold for over $15, which was a loss.
O.K., one last one! Hehe. After this car, I'll lay off for awhile and wait for others to post. This is my newest car...a secondhand FMC RAIL BOX box car aquired by CSX TRANSPORTATION. The patch and worn-out graffiti are inspired by the real car. This was a FUN project. CSX has some crazy cars!
This is a gondola that was originally based on a real car but then I got carried away with the weathering. So let's say it's the original car 10 hard years! Hehe. A close-up would reveal more color variations in the rust. I dented the bottom with a sanding tool. The patch has the original...
I promise not to bore you with too many more! Hehe. I just like this former RAIL BOX car that was purchased by BURLINGTON NORTHERN. It's based on a real car and I even tried to copy the graffiti. This is MrKLUKE car#118 and it features some different things for me. First, I modified the door so...
This started as an Accurail 3 bay ACF hopper but I patched it for CSX. The interesting thing is you can still see part of the "N" from "L&N". This project was based on a real car of a similar number. I ran out of "4s" and changed the number. Bad move. I was...
Unlike the BN "paint peeler" hopper, this box car is based on a real car where the new paint was washing away. Underneath this CONRAIL box car, was the original PENN CENTRAL paint. This first attempt for me (MrKLUKE car#119) had mixed results. I had an Athearn ACF Railbox painted for...
Hello world! I weather HO freight cars and this was one of my more interesting projects (MrKLUKE car#121). It was based on a real car of the same number. It's an EX-CB&Q hopper than was painted after that railroad became part of the BURLINGTON NORTHERN. Lots of the paint was peeling off the...
