If your old bottles haven't been opened, they're probably still good. But, you have to make sure you mix them good. Opened, the air will do something to it. You may end up with undissolvable sludge. Or, it becomes thicker since some of the solvent has evaporated. You still have to mix it...

I feel your pain. But, every company makes mistakes, this might have been a bad batch (mislabelled). Have you check elsewhere for the same paint and are they labelled correctly? If it was an isolated instance, perhaps you've been hasty. OTOH, if there's a lot of them out there like that...

After you clip the prongs off the lower clip, transfer it to top to become the upper clip. Just in case you didn't snip the prongs close enough, doesn't take much to wear through the insulation tape on the bottom and short out. Swapping the top and bottom clips is just another safety check...
