I stole this amazing black chalk spray paint from wifes paint collection. it drys like coal dust on the steamer , its perfect as a base for weathering . i use it on all my steamers

I am waiting for scaletrains steam also & as you can see in my avatar im a BIG STEAM fan so if they can have the nice 4-8-8-4s for MTH/BLI molds with SCALETRAINS electronics , that will be a homerun

I bought an EM 1 in 2011 & it runs great so i can vouch for the new bachmann

scaletrains will enter the fray with steam by the end of the year & it will get interesting
