    I found some N stuff on this website: Model Train Stuff-N Scale steam locomotives. They do have a larger selection in HO, though. Are those N products not quality? Should I go somewhere else? Another question: Are train cars and products of different manufacturers compatible?

    I am a beginner model railroader(?), and I was wanting to know: Should I go with N or HO scale? I have a (give or take) 7 x 4 space right now, I am not employed (haven't graduated yet), but size is not a problem. I would like to know the pros and cons of each.
