A Look back at the Colorado Midland RR

The Colorado Midland has been of interest to me since my son and I were in Colorado a few years back and mountain biked to Hagerman Tunnel near Leadville. The tunnel and remnants of the amazing trestles leading to it are all still there in the middle of nowhere. We also saw the caboose on...

Anyone want to make certain areas of your railroad invisible?

There could be some great modeling uses for this technology. Examples could be making a staging yard disappear, using with mirrors to get certain effects, etc. Pretty cool tech!!! Invisibility Technology Available Now

    Abandoned L&N Tunnel

For those folks out there (like me) who spend more time thinking about what was historically here in the way of railroads than what is currently here, this thread may be of interest. The mighty L&N was once king of railroads in the industrial region of central Alabama. Under the direction of...

    A weird problem...and a lesson learned

Hi everyone. We recently had an unusual DCC issue that might be of interest to members here. For several years we have run two Lenz LS150 stationary decoders to control the turnouts in our three hidden staging yards. The layout runs on a Digitrax DCS100 Super Chief system. Switch routes...
