So three "MTH" situations, First, an articulated 2-6-6-6 Steam Locomotive that works just fine & has no battery. Has Sounds & Stream No ProtoSound. I think the best option from MTH for the "conventional" powered layouts like mine. I may upgrade all of mine to this configuration over time...

Goes thru the K-line transformers. They are fused. The DC to AC inverter is fused, And in addition the entire distribution system for the layout is fused for when I was using a 20 amp capable variac. And as things to think about while having a power outage..... I heat 100 percent with wood...
