    Is This Within My Capabilities

I can only dream that someone would make a Alco C855 in our modern day production of locomotive models that is not brass. I have Bowser C630s and love it! Got #2905 and #2909.

    Train Controller Silver Gone

Ya I wish he would too. He added a lot to this forum. I learned a ton from him and Mark (he passed away). He did exceptional work. His seller handle on ebay is "wheelstrains". Currently he has nothing listed but every now and then he will put something up.

Well here is my 2 cents..... MTH has great details and good print/colors on the shells. They're somewhat fragile like egg shells like Scale Trains. So having said that you want to limit physical handling of them. the negative.....if you get one with DCC and sound have fun with that with...

Yup it is good one to have I have this one also! Here's the prototype.... So this was SP's desert storm locomotive, but the state of California made them use a special kind of paint that basically falls apart with moisture. For those that may not know, SP7319 and a host of other SD40R's...

Do you really need DCC sound in your model trains?

After reading everyone's thoughts and opinions. I still fall in the middle. Currently when I purchase a new locomotive there's a 95% chance it will have sound. Is it necessary? Nope. I have many DCC non sound units and I am good with that as well. I do not plan on changing them either. My...
