Update - I just tried it and yes it does work, you can connect your track wiring from your controller (DC at least) to a proper terminal board and then run X amount of Bus Wire Sets from that Terminal Block to power your Drop Feeders.
Now I am going back to bed as I'm sick as a dog and not in...

Grief - what have I caused ??
I probably didn't explain things too well and the diagram I used just made things worse I think. So hopefully this will explain everything:
Instead of having ONE Main Bus with a number of joins in it to create other bus wires (3 loops so 3 main buses if you like)...

This is what I was getting at and hoping I could do to keep things organised and orderly:
-
Um - right, I think I understand - the short answer is yes it will work, but no it might not :) Okay - that makes sense as much sense as any electrical does to me 😂
Maybe I can draw a picture and see if you and I are on the same page and to clarify what I mean a bit better :)

Can you run a set of wires from your controller track connections to a Terminal Block and then run X Amount of sets of wires for track power from that terminal block?
Does that make sense?

Okay an update - I got a response from the contact that Robin gave me and yes, he does do repairs on N Scale engines, especially N Scale Steam Engines, repairs and DC to DCC conversion; HOWEVER, he has just had heart surgery so am not sure if he is taking on any work at the moment - he wants to...

I'll be interested as well :) I kind of mean that as well as I have asked for advice on that exact topic :)

Thanks Smudge, I bought a pack of 36 colors a little while back but didn't realise they were all pastel type colors - no earth or skin tone colors amongst them :)
I needed those colors (earth tones) to do my rock faces.

People are free to post comments and opinions about something they have bought and used, liked or didn't like and so forth - personal experience in something is a good reference point. What I was saying was, I have seen "dedicated threads" regarding such things in other forums and they have...

Have a new section of sub road bed in with the track just loose laid on top of it:
Can't really do much more until I figure out what I am going to do in the extension ...
For those wondering about the grade - it has risen "about" 1.75" in about 3' so I am guessing it is about a 4% grade...

Nothing spectacular just some acrylic paints:
-
Okay - Amazon says Hi and is going to send me the following:
Should be here Saturday .... if the colors I need aren't amongst that lot then I give up ... :)
-
Yep - seems to be ..... :)
-
Just went through my batch of acrylic water colors and have every shade of every color EXCEPT the colors I need
Looks like a trip back to amazon then :(

Their stuff in general is way over priced and not that great either. All they are doing is exploiting the hobby. They are the main reasons I refuse to buy anything woodland scenics. Actually, most so called hobby specific stuff has a better "non hobby specific" item that can be used.
You are...

Thanks Mike, and that was pretty much how I first started doing my rock faces :)
-
Not hard mate and are quick to build :)
-
I know how to create the rock face, BUT have forgotten how to "paint/stain them" to achieve a realistic looking rock. So, what do you guys do or how do you paint your rock faces - type of medium, colors etc. :)

I do similar to Willie ... spread my ballast with a widish soft artists brush, keeping it fairly vertical. I then use an pipette to spread alcohol (70% preferable but any will work) until I can see the alcohol seeping beneath the rails to the outsides. I do in between the rails first, then the...

You will have a lot of room for a large layout then.
If your intention is to model UP then can I suggest you find a section of their route that interests you then compress that for your layout and the room available.
The other option (that I can think of) is to create a route/track plan that...
