Cars are N-scale and a scout leader from Oklahoma gave him the piece of track he's supposed to decorate and send a picture back. Everything was less than the prices on the packages. Overall, it seemed some prices were higher this year. Cars I bought last year for $5-$6 range were in the $8-$12 range. I still had a nice time and got some ideas for some things when I have the time to really work on the layout.

Nice haul, your grandson did well too. :)

Athearn RTR UP #6667 GE AC4400CW or rather GE AC44CW- Econami, Custom added Ditchlights & Weathered came in today as predicted.

The previous owner did a fantastic job of weathering and doing the details and adding ditch lights. It was a good buy. I have to do a little minor work on the rear climber rail on the engineer side. Other than that it's all good!

3rd is for my UPP 4015 that was the trailing unit behind Big Boy 4014 last year. I have the SD70M on order from Trainworld and should be getting it in about 3 weeks. I wanted the decal sheet in case they missed the black UP shield that says 4015. You can see it on the proto type nose.

Alright I couldn't resist. Plus, we're obligated to support local shops right? I was in Atlanta last week again for work, so I grabbed another one of these American Limited hoppers. Plus a container chassis, from a Canadian brand I haven't seen before.

We do our best to support the LHS. Great finds. I have/had a promotex chassis for containers but it doesn’t stand out in my memory as good or bad. That’s a good thing…

I am not sure if it gouging but yes Train show prices seem to be up. Inflation is rampant

Nice pick ups

Very bright clean fresh cars from the Walthers Mainline series. To be weathered and sent off

Pulp cars. Sort of forgot about these until this morning in the diner talking about Canadian dollar versus the US dollar. 6 arrived with more coming. These are for me or until someone knocks my socks off with an offer. I need 9 for the pulp yard. I have 9 more coming. The seller said not duplicated numbers, he’s wrong 2 each of the same number. So 3 will be candidates down the road to be sold. Not happy about that but I can handle it.

Future reference....Walthers never did a second run series on these Walthers 3-pak Ready to Run series that I know of. Although they did run (2) individual packs of different numbers to coincide with the 3-paks. So in reality you could have 5 different numbers of the same railroad for this series.

The Goldline and Platinum series are different where they ran a bunch of numbers as well as the Proto series.

I'll have to keep an eye open for them then, would be nice to have all 5.

I mentioned in the coffee shop that I'd had a few deliveries today, so here's what I got.

These two Walthers Kits are £88 here, got both for £45 off fleaBay NIB. :D

These arrived from Amain Hobbies in the US, I can finally re-motor my switcher, and no need for silicon this time.

Decided for no real reason that I'd like a flat car.

This purchase I'm really really happy with, the attention to detail is great, and surprisingly. metal walkways, and some real weight to it, wasn't expecting that for the price. It arrived in an Athearn box, but pretty sure this is an Atlas model, but I'll definitely consider getting some more of these.

These two arrived yesterday, I may well use this instead of the construction site kit, as although it's quite small, it will work with my Tank cars.

Also I'll try out Wombat457 suggestion of the Deluxe Laser-Cut Kit Glue.

I bought this some time ago, and forgot I had it till over the weekend while I was having a sort out of my OO scale Locomotives and rolling stock, and found this.

1676321460619.jpeg

There's no name that I can find, but looking at the detail and from what I can gather from the 'net, (mainly going from foto's and the distinct shade of orange) I'm suspecting this could be a Micro-Train model, can anyone confirm if it is ?

By the way, if anyone has one (or two) of these surplus to requirement's please let me know.

That appears to be a very detailed car. Nice paint job....an eye catcher for sure. Are those scale width wheels? Could be a Tangent car.
Usually when I come across something I have "put back" I am reminded why I originally "put it back" to begin with.

My ebay package came from Massachusetts yesterday. Lately these cross country items have arrived in just a couple days.

They have been in an open box in a garage for years, judging by the grime, however I am very satisfied with the purchase, for 52.94 (includes shipping cost) I got the loco, tender (which I will not be using with the tank loco), the MOW gondola, and the snowplow.

They are all Rivarossi. The loco ran smooth even though I did not tinker with it at all, did not even clean off the grime for the initial test:

loco.JPG

The trucks were off the tender. Not sure what I am going to do with it, however will use the trucks at least and plan on repainting the loco

MOW gondola.JPG

The writing on the gondola is crisp, however don't think she will really haul 125,000 with those trucks? Also, wonder why it says Michigan Central and New York Central Lines?

The snowplow looks pretty good as well:

snowplow.JPG

All in all, pretty good detail for molded grabs and the wheels are steel also real springs is a nice detail.

The Best news is the loco runs very well. After switching out the couplers and paint will be on the layout.

I also got this Atlas Gold Series 10 001 1069 EMD SD35 Low Nose Locomotive Utah Railway UR 3108 for a sweet deal! It was NIB, DCC & with ESU sound! I couldn't pass this up. As these units ran on the Soldier Summit in the mountain pass in the Wasatch Mountains in Utah south east of Salt Lake City and Provo. Not from Green River Route too. I may try and get another one. This will be heavily weathered. and will be run through power or borrowed power on my JR's UPRR.
