    Hey it's the WEEKEND photo fun 10/13 - 10/15

Took a walk last Sunday to locate the nearest railroad tracks to the UW-Green Bay campus. This is CN's branch line to Luxemburg. The track was originally built by Kewaunee, Green Bay & Western from Kewaunee through Luxemburg to Green Bay. The section from Luxemburg to Kewaunee is now abandoned...

WEEKEND Photo fun, Sept 01 06

Attended the Rock River Thresheree on Saturday. Added some new HO rolling stock to my collection via the flea market and got some shots of their 2' gauge steam railroad. Most of the cars just need a cleanup and replacement of horn-hook couplers with Kadees. The locomotives...

    WEEKEND PHOTO FUN 18-19-20th August

Thanks, Brakie. Got the first few pictures from MCRM up on my blog, including those of Copper Range #29 for the person that was interested. http://ayaredubya.blogspot.com/2006/08/saturday-august-19-in-sauk-county.html

    WEEKEND PHOTO FUN 18-19-20th August

Wow, didn't know that. All these years I've been thinking that Milwaukee Road engine is a GP9. Guess this means I'll have to renumber it too. Are any of my other presumed GP9s actually GP7s? Walthers WSOR #4494 (another thing I'm curious about, were any built like this or did they have...

    WEEKEND PHOTO FUN 18-19-20th August

Cool, thanks for that info! Also, how can you tell it's a GP7 and not a GP9? Externally it is identical to the MILW GP9. So if it's not the weights or missing flywheels, what is causing it to run so badly? Possibly lubrication (or lack thereof)?

    WEEKEND PHOTO FUN 18-19-20th August

GBRR's locomotive maintenance crew tore into new aquisition ex-CN GP9 #4235 Sunday, and found their work cut out for them... When I popped the shell off, planning to remove the added weight on the roof of the shell, something didn't look quite right in the mechanism. So I put in on the track...

    WEEKEND PHOTO FUN 18-19-20th August

Copper Range #29 is looking...well, primer red is about the only way to describe it. It no longer looks like this but they have a long way to go. My personal opinion is that they should hold off on the cosmetic restorations until they have sufficient money and manpower to get #1385 or ST #2...

    WEEKEND PHOTO FUN 18-19-20th August

Added some new machines to the HO scale roundhouse and freight yard this weekend. Also paid a visit to the Mid-Continent Railroad Museum in North Freedom. I thought I make a post earlier with the pictures but it doesn't seem to be showing up, so something must have not worked. I'll make another...

    Weekend Photo Fun 8/11/06-8/13/06

Well, I was browsing through this thread wishing I had something to contribute...when it occurred to me that I did take some railroad photos this past weekend, both model and proto! This was courtesy of attending the town of Brodhead's sesquicentennial celebration, and visiting the...

    Building a new railroad...

Sorry, jbaakko, but I'm a steam freak, so that page got priority. It's not finished yet, as I still have to do the pictures for #1003, and the picture of Pacific #2713 and another locomotive that I plan to add will be stills from video-but my video capture hardware is broken so that will have to...

    Building a new railroad...

Rock River Thresheree page is up. The two missing images are going to be stills from video. My video capture hardware is down so I can't put those up yet. Thanks for the offer, BNSF dude; but I'm not doing that one. I'm just keeping it to ones I've been to.

    Building a new railroad...

Got the rest of the pictures on that page loaded. Good, 'cause you'll be seeing a lot of them; especially when I get the "Passenger Trains" section of the "Trains Around Wisconsin" page up. Edit: Little A-merrik-a (Whiskey River RR) page is done.
