I particularly like the windows too. At least two of the panes (one on the door, the other the engineers view window) seem to be about the same surface as the cab shell, rather than rather deeply recessed as with some other models.

Is this by any chance an older, re-decalled Athearn "Blue Box" SD 40 T-2? I ask because I'm literally holding one of those shells right now.

The factory paint was a mediocre 5378, and this is obviously a different road number, with a much better paint or decal job. Right down to the builder's plate.
