This is the Alaska RR track plan, a reverse image of the Lick Branch Spur from the Appalachian RR web site.

I like this plan mostly because it's a point to point plan, not continual...Many frown on this because of the extra work needed to get trains going back in the other direction. I welcome it as demanding prototype activity; the work all part of railroading...
I Love seeing trains back through wyes or just running in reverse back home..
