I know for some people they may think I am crazy to look forward to this show but this is the biggest one around these parts. Having 4 buildings full of trains is an awesome venue. Lots of vendors and variety here.
Someday I would like to go to that show, but like Trainfest I would have to stay overnight. Tring to find a place in an area your not familiar with is a pain.

Here is a reason I don‘t generally use Amazon to buy hobby supplies

Tamiya XF86 flat clear on Anmazon $7.99 at Scalehobbist.com. $1.99.

this is where I buy my paints (Tamiya, Vallejo and Abeilung 502’s), thinners and clears

Yes, temporarily out of stock as it seems everywhere else is also that I normally buy from. But surprise Amazon has it

On the Amazon site, nothing like that extortion prices

both prices are for the 10ml sized bottle. My supplier said next week his shipment is due. It’s on the water heading to the Port of Long Beach.

I can wait

David: Doxycycline is only supposed to be given in 7 to 10 day courses. Any more, and it loses effect. Any leg infection that lasts more than a couple of weeks is a more serious condition... If the condition persists, you should see an infectious disease specialist, not a P.A.

Boris: Yes, the prescription was for 20 pills 2/day, I had taken 6 of them before reading the side affects sheet, then dumped the other 14.

To me the side affects sheet is just like a Wig -Wag, a caution warning which I headed.

The PA I see, in my small town, is supposed to consult/confir with an MD, I believe(?) who verifies the prescript but whether they do or not is another question ?

This reminds me of all the "convenience" medicines sold on the radio where most of the commercial is all the side effects and how you will be sterile and die and have heart palpitations and bowel irritation and skin issues and head aches and no sex drive if you take their medication, but hey, it does great and solves some minor issue... So go get your doc to prescribe it.

Does anyone know, for sure, how they develop the list of potential side effects? I wonder if it isn't part of a disclaimer written by some Trial Lawyer. I have also heard that they are based on trials before FDA approval, and most side effects reported, are minimal percentages of the whole, at best. I was recently prescribed Doxycycline monohydrate 100 mg capsule twice daily for seven days, for a respiratory infection. No adverse reactions, and the infection cleared up as intended. The end result...clearing up the infection...was worth the risk of some obscure reaction.

My DMV Chrade, It started when my auto insurance company reniged on paying the second portion of the claim for engine damage, loosing both water and oil externally, after running over a rock(?) or something in the road I didn't see.
My policy had rental car coverage and I rented the least expensive car I could. After a period of time the insurance company stopped paying for the rental car, without any explanation to me in anyway, when I still had coverage left which ment I was paying out of pocket which was very expensive at $600.00 a month.

So after a bit, in July of 2018 I purchased a 2016 Hyundai Veloster from a dealer which included the DMV fees till Feb. 2, 2019. With other issues that were taking place I lost tract of the renewal date as I never received any renewal notice from DMV until I received the late notice from them. I paid the registration fee but not the late fee which I didn't feel I owed not receiving the initial notice. So 2020 rolls around and I tried to ask them, on their web site, how much my registration fee was going to be but No reply because I didn't pay the prior years late fee so I sent them an estimated amount of $260 and the same thing happened again in 2021 but due to the election feasco I missed getting my estimated check into them till June for $255.

When I finally did make contact with customer care I was told I owed them $1,200.00 to clear the matter up.
I asked what happened to the two estimated checks I sent them totalling $515.00 ? Then they tell me they have no record of receiving them yet my bank verified they cashed both of them. It gets a bit more complicated but I finally contacted the California State Senators office and explained everything to them and after a couple of months passed, approximately June of 2022 the Senator's office was able to get me a complete dismissal of all fines and fees plus the current 2022 tag plus a $127.00(?) refund.

So if you have problems with Dmv contact your State Senator. Indeed all government, state and even city offices fall under there jurisdiction !

Well, it finally happened.

After waiting for this event all day, we got a little snow. As you might see, it is already running off the car.
I know that this isn't anything compared what you guys up north see all winter long, but it is slightly unusual here.

Congrats Willie, your waiting for rain/snow and I'm dreading getting any more with my roof till can get it replaced.

Boris: Glad your infection cleared up, I'm pretty mine did too as I take Zinc tablets a couple of times a day.
It would be interesting to know what side affects your medication allegedly had ?

Morning all... Quick one from Snowpacalypse potential

My favorite weather guessers (BAM out of Indianapolis - independent firm, not part of any news org) says 5-8 inches likely for NE Indiana. Our town is right above the pink 8"

Snow shovel is warming up. All I have to do is keep the patio and walkway to the parking lot clear. Got the Kamado covered, but the gas grill is exposed in case I need to pull the propane tank or use it to cook due to power problems.

More updates later.
