Sad days in Altoona as a 10 year project to restore one of the famous K-4 #1361 has run outta steam funding!!

Sad to see it happen, but it's an all-too-common occurrence nowadays.

I know of groups that are trying to preserve some closed-down steel mills in Bethlehem, PA and Chicago, they keep running into the same issues. They need somebody with Bill Gates' -sized checkbook to support them.

I hear that!....That's what happen to allot of history of The East Broad Top...So much history went to junk...it was a living time capsule till the scrap price went up!
