How are You Spending the Stimulus Money?

I don't mean to be personal, but if you don't want to answer that's perfectly ok.

I didn't set out to spend my share of our stimulus money on more toys, but that's what it amounts too.

I've had a lot more time on my hands since this pandemic hit us. My wife was nervous about me working as an Amazon contractor so I have cut back drastically. My online sales all but dried up. If I had known to stock up on toilet paper and hand sanitizer I would be busy. I don't even go to more than one grocery store any more and when I do go I only go once a week.

I've had a lot of time on my hands!

Here is where much of my share of our stimulus money went.

I pre ordered this from Lionel

And 4 of these with different road numbers from Lionel

Today I ordered these from Graham's Trains. As for these purchases, a wise man described one of them this way and I think it fits them all; "Kind of neat, but probably not accurate." perfect for me!

My purchases add up to be just under $1000 total, not to mention the video games and other stuff I bought for my grandsons. Come to think of it I spent far more then my share!

Like I said, I did not set out to spend the stimulus money.

Me + free time at the computer = buying toys!

I have no idea how I'm going to use everything I bought, but I'm doing my part to support the Toy Train economy.

I need to go do something productive, like make room for all the stuff I've bought, before I buy any more!

My stimulus money wasn't in the bank 6 hours before it was gone. It was put on the loan for the wife's Equinox, so I guess it went to toys.... 😬

That said we have the car 78% paid for in under 16 months and hope to have it paid off before we hit the 2 year mark.

Patrick & CGW121, it's good to see people being smart with the money, well done!

Ken, the check is in the mail ;) I'm kidding, I could not help myself.

It's coming, I read in the New York times that our current administration has begun to disperse the stimulus money faster than any administration before. Prior administrations took months, according to the Times.

Personally I don't know, my finical records only go back to 2011, the rest is achieved. First time I ever got any money. I don't usually even get a tax refund.

LOUIS -- I have a few items that you may be interested in:
For starters - I have a new (never out of box) Lionel Tanker ...
I will never have a use for it - make me an offer?

Also - A MKT stock car (I forget the number) but it is a re-issue of the one which is more valueable?

Both of these items have not been out of the boxes!

Do you have the Lionel item numbers or pictures? Stupid question, you have the boxes.

Will you post the numbers? :)
