Howdy everyone!
The likes on my stuff is apreciated!
Flo - how 'bout a ham steak, home fries, salad, hot tea and warm apple cobbler
Sherrel - thanks for the layout comment. My aunt and uncle bought a house that had a bean
tree and could only think why would anyone have one of those in their yard. The following
year, my uncle cut it down.
Chad - I'm a big fan of chili. I made some last week and usually every 3 weeks. I make it spicy
and with beans. I'd make it more often, but need time to recuperate
Karl - Nice pickup! You must do the same kind of railfanning as me. I don't care for all the stickers
and graphics either. I ordered my GMC with the sticker delete option!
Mikey - I was saving the Iowa Interstate photo for you
but with my huge photo archives, it took
me a while to find it
lol
Toot - thanks for the front end shot. All it needs is a hi-rise hood! The red stripe tires are
Willie - Great loads. Now that you mention it, I'd like to see a photo of the rusty machinery.
Bob - good to hear you closed on your TN home. I sure don't envy you with all the work involved.
When I moved to this home, I planned it to be my last, except for the move to boot hill
With the cold winter weather the last few days, I have no guilt staying indoors and working on the
layout
In fact, I'm totally enjoying it! I've accomplished much, but will refrain from posting any
progress photos as they are quite boring and don't want to put you guys to sleep
I did have an extensive operating session yesterday, but only after an initial mishap. I have a double
header, 15 open hopper coal drag on my main. About the third lap, a hobby knife vibrated off a pile
of construction materials and caught the fourth hopper. Of course, there was a derailment with three
of the four cars involved laid on their side. Many of the iron ore balls I use for weight fell to the
floor, but all the cars stayed on the layout! whew
Now . . . I made two mistakes, first not "walking" the layout for possible problems and ONCE AGAIN,
not taking photos of the accident!
I leave you all with these pair of photos . . .
Have a great day!
Jim
